Sorry I'm so late with this one! Things have been a little manic at the Magazine and on the home front, so I apologise for the neglect. I hope you all managed to catch these two great January film releases! This month's recommended 'play it' is in podcast format - available always and definitely worth a listen. The book isn't brand new, but it's a great little flick - perfect for a some much needed, easy reading (or listening), down time. Enjoy!

THE COWS
By Dawn O’Porter
Released in 2017, I’ve only just got around to this “fearless, frank and funny” debut novel by Dawn O’Porter. The Sunday Times Bestseller follows the lives of three working women, judging others and themselves. In the noise of modern life, they must find their own voice.
Also available on Audible (features a special Q&A with author, Dawn O’Porter).

Ways To Change The World
with Krishnan Guru-Murthy
This month, in place of a new album, I wanted to recommend a podcast.
Channel 4 News frontman, Krishnan Guru-Murthy interviews one guest or week on big ideas, current hot topics and the events that have helped shape their thinking. With a fantastic range of guests, from Lea Delaria to Jacob Rees-Mogg, WTCTW is informative, inspiring and entertaining.
A few of my favourite episodes so far include: Jameela Jamil on the Me Too movement, her ‘I Weigh’ campaign and the toxic influence of the Kardashians; Jacqueline Gold on sexual culture, empowering women and British high streets; and Richard Curtis on his films, optimism and the future of charity.
